She’s the First is a not-for-profit organization that funds education sponsorships for girls in the developing world. In most cases, a girl who benefits from She’s the First will be the first female in her family to graduate from secondary school. In a world where 70 percent of out-of-school youth are girls, She’s the First is taking immediate action to ensure a future of universal education that will put an end to global poverty.As a Millennial-led not-for-profit, She’s the First attracts a core audience born between 1980 and 1995, whose relatively small donations stretch far to make a huge difference. The cost of a year’s sponsorship can be as low as $80, but averages $200 to $300 a year.
She’s the First hosts two marquee events each year, the GIRLS WHO ROCK benefit concert and the She’s the First Soiree in New York City. Beyond events, She’s the First is a storytelling platform, where people see the efforts that make a sponsorship possible, and then see how it impacts a girl.
