Celebrate Women with Glamour Gone Good

Did you know that March is Women's History Month and that March 8th is International Women's Day? And, it just so happens that this year marks the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.

If you're not familiar with International Women's Day, here's the scoop: Each year, International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. Hundreds of events occur on this day and throughout March to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. Organizations, governments and women's groups around the world choose different themes each year that reflect global and local gender issues. The United Nations has declared 2011's theme: Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women

In honor of International Women's Day, Glamour Gone Good is paying tribute to the women who helped launch and continue to nurture its growth by hosting a Twitter contest to #CelebrateWomen.
